Engineering is not only study of 45 subjects but it is moral studies of intellectual life, that's it !!

When searched for the meaning Wiki says "Engineering is the application of scientific , economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to design , build, maintain, and improve structures,machines, devices, systems, materials and processes"

There's nothing I believe in more strongly than getting young people interested in science and engineering, for a better tomorrow, for all humankind. Architecture begins where engineering ends.Once a new technology rolls over you, if you're not part of the steamroller, you're part of the road.

Either Best selling "5 point someone" or the blockbuster "3  idiots"  made impact as just 'book/movie' no one never ever  tried to  make a change. While every educational activist is preaching about the  need of changing the educational system, there are so called engineering  colleges  which boast about their infrastructure and placements  in  their websites and brochures but has only 2 matchbox blocks with no  compound wall. Let us see what is engineering in according to the  perspective of various characters and the impact of so called  engineering.
In engineering colleges,they have seating plans...And Students have cheating plans.Right now people are interested in genetic engineering to help the human race. That's a noble cause, and that's where we should be heading. But once we get past that - once we understand what genetic diseases we can deal with - when we start thinking about the future,there's an opportunity to create some new life-forms.


For students:
Those who got a seat either through entrance exams or through management  enter into their college with so much of tags attached to their B.E  degree.. i.e after 4 years they would enjoy more than a 5 digit salary..  an MNC..girlfriends.... fun etc.. but they realize gradually  that there are things beyond these imaginations. In final year they end  up with Regrets Frustration, Swear words, indirect Status updates, torn  dreams, expectations and empty beer bottles. Roughly 80% of  engineering graduates end up with non-engineering jobs.. Sometimes unemployed. A  funnel where people enter easily but stuck at the end.

For parents:
Though they never know about real engineering they believe that  engineering is the only ticket to clean up the debt mess  and  unfulfilled middle class expectations as well as like an ornament or a  furniture to brag about in front of the in-laws and neighbours. They  manage to get a seat for their son/daughter for god's sake emptying  their saved money and through educational loan.

For management:
Clever smart elite people who know how to make filthy money. Had they  given good education they would have filled their bank accounts with  more money. But they  use educational institutions just a backup to  manage their loss in the real business.So far this word "engineering" has created a great impact directly or  indirectly on society. Engineering has ruined the future of other  career options. It has snatched the dreams of students and their  parents. In the end those who survived were those who were born with the  silver spoon. Definitely not the middle class. Now engineering  graduates are all over the country making money as clerks POs Marketing  executives, sales representatives except where they should have ended  up with. Yes. The so called engineering has killed the value  and pride of Engineering itself.

We don’t care about what you did yesterday—we care about what you’re going to do tomorrow,that's called Engineering.
